Did you know that honeybees communicate to each other using special dances inside the hive? These dances inform the other bees of the distance and the direction of the pollen source. Incredible as it may seem, the honeybee has FIVE eyes, two large compound eyes and three smaller ocelli eyes in the centre of its head. These are just some of the beautiful insights we learnt during our apiculture masterclass with Dr. Andre Halas as we proudly welcomed honeybees to Quinta Linda, encouraging biodiversity and creating a learning opportunity to share with everyone.
